INTRODUCE YOURSELF: Please fill out your profile and make a small introduction, we like to know who our community/forum members are.
AGE LIMIT: Please be aware that this is a public forum so Children under the age of thirteen are NOT allowed to register and participate in any forum or the chatrooms.
ADVICE: Most members on this site are not avian certified veterinarians. Animal behavior and there illnesses is something that can take time and trying many different methods before results are positive. Everyone has an opinion on the vast array of bird health. The internet is a wealth of knowledge, unfortunately some members can have a hard time writing what they are trying to say, so please take any information someone gives you on the internet at face value. If you have medical concerns with any of your birds please consult your local veterinarian.
CENSORSHIP: The Admin/Mods of Featherz Bird Forums Australia reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. We will not tolerate any posts or threads obtaining Obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise vocative of any laws matter. If you think it is inappropriate for the board, it most likely is. We also reserve the right to terminate your membership of Featherz Bird Forums Australia without notice.
PERSONAL: DO NOT give out personal information; this is for your own safety. Featherz Birds Forums will not be held responsible for your posting of personal information; these include, phone numbers, personal addresses, etc. Also please DO NOT give out someone else's private information, E-mail address or details with out their consent.
CONFLICTS: Please refrain from conflict in this forum. Debates, Constructive Criticisms and Freedom of Speech are open so long as you respect the person you are having these discussions with and do not let the matters get out of hand. If you have a situation with another member on this forum please bring it to a Staff members attention first for assistance, please do not start a slinging match on the forum, this will only end up in a suspension of membership for all parties involved. If a problem persists please let us help you, that’s what the staff are here for, if you don’t let us know what is going on then a situation can get out of hand and then be too late to rectify. We do suggest that if you can't get along with a member of this forum just don't talk to them. There is no use hurting feelings to gather attention. On another note, seeking attention and deliberately causing problems on the forum will not be tolerated at all, if you want to start a discussion on anything personal we suggest you e-mail that person, do not bring it into this forum. We all like a bit of drama but the forum will not be a public soap box. There will is a warning given but if an issue continues there will be an automatic ban and you will no longer be allowed to post.
HOTLINKS: Do NOT hotlink other websites, it is considered rude, wastes expensive bandwidth and most likely infringes on that sites copyright.

It is very likely that the questions posted in there will answer some questions you have (and maybe some you didn't even think to ask!) and saves constantly going over the same topics. Of course, if your question is not adequately answered there, feel free to post about it!
SPAM: Do not sign up to Featherz Bird Forums Australia to Spam the forum. Signing up with the only intention of posting your web site or to "plug" another forum/web site, or any other advertising motive is frowned upon. Posting your own Site or Personal web sites are just fine so long as, your an ACTIVE (over 200posts) member of the board and not just signing up to get something out of it in your own personal favor. Please note that ALL 'Site' and 'Forum' LINKS in Profiles MUST be approved by admin. Links in Signatures are NOT allowed. Admin also reserves the right to remove such LINKS untill they are approved. We do not like to be taken advantage of and we will definitely stop anyone in their tracks doing so.
Spamming members' PM inboxes and their e-mail addresses is particularly frowned upon here, most of the time its a member that dobs you in, if you think you can get away with it you wont! If you are found out spamming another member or members via PM or email your account will be banned/deleted with out warning.
TROLLS: Trolls are people that come to the board whose only intent is to harass members. Featherz Forum does not tolerate trolls. We will do everything in our power to make sure that trolls do not reach our message board, but in the case that they do, they will be immediately banned and their content removed. Featherz Forum will always stay a friendly and great place for our users, and thus trolls will not be tolerated under any circumstance.
ACRONYMS: Usually they are not used when posting, acronyms are a chat room/SMS (short message service) medium. Please use these with great discretion - and be prepared to explain what they stand for. Over using acronyms can result in you being perceived as a major newbie. Below are some of the commonly used ones noticed on Featherz Forum. If a post is found with many Acronyms, you may find it modified by a staff member.
OT = Off Topic LOL = Laughing Out Loud IMO = In My Opinion IMHO = In My Honest Opinion ROTFL = Rolling On the Floor Laughing ROTFLOL = Rolling On the Floor Laughing Out Loud NTM = Not to Mention FYI = For Your Information
PB GUIDELINES: The admins/mods here volunteer their help to make sure this place runs smoothly and offer freely their help, knowledge and insight, to the care and upkeep of our feathered friends while making everyone here feel welcome. It is reminded that your membership here along with the staff are all bound by the “Proboards” guidelines that we all agreed to when we signed up for membership. It is yours and our responsibility that we keep and abide by staying within these “Guidelines” so that we can keep this site up and running for everyone.
We hope that everyone can agree to these rules and apply them to this forum out of respect and support for all members. These rules are not here to scare you or give you any thoughts that we are "Mean and harsh" we are very loving gentle people and we place these rules here for the protection of EVERYONE as we only want this to be a helpful and fun bird forum.
